The British Are Coming! (…to race the big guns in Peru)
The British Team for the ISA Stand Up Paddle World Championship has just been announced.
Competing in the SUP races (both surf race + long distance) are Mark Slater and John Harvey (who’ll be joined by SUP surfers Gareth Grant and Jim Richardson to complete the Team)
Slater won the 2011 BSUPA 12’6″ title, while Harvey was runner-up in the 14′ division.
Team Britain will join the Aussies, Americans, Hawaiians, French, Kiwis and South Africans for the ISA World Champs in Peru next month. While teams from Ireland, Peru, Tahiti, Chile and Brazil are likely to be announced soon.
