Waikiki Paddle Festival – Event Schedule
The Quiksilver Waterman Collection’s Waikiki Paddle Festival is just three days away. It’s set to be one of the biggest weekends of Stand Up Paddle racing in 2012, with almost all of the world’s elite SUP racers in town for the event.
The whole weekend will be webcast live on Quiksilver.com/watermanevents as well as right here on SUPracer.com. Also make sure you’re following SUPracer on Facebook, so you get all the exclusive race updates, pics, videos and interviews from inside the event.

8pm: Jamie Mitchell Talk Story @ Surfer, The Bar – Turtle Bay Resort
// The 10x World Champ chats about his paddleboarding career, his new Decade of Dominance movie, and the Waikiki Paddle Festival
Thursday 3rd May
1pm: Waikiki Paddle Festival Press Conference @ the Voyager Room – Outrigger Reef Hotel
// Featuring Gerry Lopez, Jamie Mitchell, Connor Baxter, Travis Grant, Candice Appleby and Jenny Kalmbach
6pm-9pm: Jamie Mitchell’s Decade of Dominance film screening @ Duke’s Waikiki
// Story of JM’s record 10th straight Molokai-2-Oahu World Title. This movie only premiered last week, so this is just the 2nd time it’s been screened.
Friday 4th May
6pm-9pm: Waikiki Paddle Festival Pre-Party

Saturday 5th May
8:30am: Opening Ceremony @ Duke Kahanamoku Beach
9am-4pm: SUP expo running all day at the event site
9:30am: Open Age SUP race
11:00am: Prone paddleboard race
12:00pm: The main event! Men’s & Women’s Survivor SUP Race
2:30pm: OC-6 Sprints
3:30pm: OC-1, OC-2, OC-3, Surf Ski & V-1 races
4pm: Awards ceremony
Sunday 6th May
9am-4pm: SUP expo all day at the event site
10am: OC-6 Iron Distance race (Hawaii Kai run)
10:15am: OC-1, OC-2, OC-3, Surf Ski, V-1 distance race (Hawaii Kai run)
10:30am: SUP and Prone Long Distance Race (Hawaii Kai run)
1pm: Prone/SUP 4-person Team Relay
2:30pm: SUP 4-person relay
4pm: The Waterman Challenge (500m swim/1k prone/1.5k SUP)
5pm: Awards ceremony
