[VIDEO] Arthur Daniel’s Crazy Fast Start In Tahoe

Here’s a lesson in how to break the field within the first 10 seconds of a race.

Arthur Daniel was clearly in no mood for a draft fest at last weekend’s Tahoe Nalu Paddle Festival. The young Frenchman sprinted off the line, using the choke stroke to gap the field immediately. That was a gap that would never be closed, with Arthur eventually crossing the 10 mile finish line 2 and a half minutes clear of runner-up Garrit Barth and nearly 4 minutes clear of of third-place Mike Tavares.

The video above shows Arthur’s start perfectly: Watch how quickly the other guys fade into the background…

Arthur may not be a household name in the States, but he’s already very well known in the European racing scene. Along with his fellow Frenchie (and namesake) Arthur Arutkin and world beater Casper Steinfath, Arthur Daniel is paving the way for the next generation of SUP racers in Euro land.

You’ll be able to see Arthur in action again this weekend, with the F-One team rider currently traveling across to Hood River, Oregon for the massive Gorge Paddle Challenge
