Fancy a trip to Brazil? Here’s your excuse: Registration for next month’s Battle of the Paddle Brazil (or Brasil for the purists) is now open.

As we announced last month the 2014 Battle of the Paddle Brasil is in Florianopolis, a long way south of its inaugural home at Cabo Frio twelve months ago.

The other big change this year is the prize money, which has been doubled to $25,000, more in line with what’s on offer at the Battle of the Paddle California.

The site is rather difficult to get into English, but if you’re super keen to sign up early, go to the official site for all the details.

Last year’s event was very last-minute but still a lot of fun, if for no other reason than because we were IN BRAZIL. This year the Battle of the Paddle Brasil seems to have its act together though, so I’d expect a great event in Florianapolis on the weekend of November 22 & 23.
