Stand Up World Series To Be Webcast Live & Direct From Bilbao (Spain) This Weekend
UPDATE: The Bilbao SUP Webcast is ON!
*****
The 2013 Stand Up World Series has taken us to some fairly exotic locations so far, such as the Iceberg Lake in Chile and the desserts of the UAE. Now the World Series has reached Europe and the second leg of its “European Trilogy” starts in less than 48 hours.
After Oleron (France) a couple of weeks ago, the Stand Up World Series hits Spain for the Bilbao World SUP Challenge. All weekend we’ll get to watch the likes of Connor Baxter, Eric Terrien, Casper Steinfath and Annabel Anderson battle it out for the massive $20,000 prize purse.
Best of all: The entire event will be webcast LIVE and you can watch it right here on SUPracer.com all weekend.
Look for the festivities to begin around 4pm local time on Saturday, when the Long Distance race is tentatively scheduled to begin. That’ll be 10am in Florida, 7am in California and very late Saturday night in Australia (around midnight).
If you can’t catch the Bilbao live SUP webcast don’t worry, we’ll have full race results and photos of the action as soon as the paddlers cross the line.
The Bilbao World SUP Challenge is also part of the completely unofficial but totally awesome European SUP Racing Tour, which we’ve been running in conjunction with the good folks over at NSP SUP. This is week five of six for the Tour, and this weekend will feature both the Bilbao event as well as the $10,000 Happy Summer SUP Race in Namur, Belgium.
