[PHOTOS] Awesome Conditions For The French SUP Race Championships

The 2012 French SUP Race Championships were held on the weekend in awesome conditions. The highlight was the “Beach Race” (the Battle of the Paddle style course race) that enjoyed solid surf, plenty of carnage and a couple of upsets.

Out of the four events held on the weekend, Eric Terrien won three of them. Europe’s #1 couldn’t make it four from four though; after leading early in the Beach Race, Eric got cleaned up by a couple of bomb sets and ended up finishing fifth. Didier Leneil survived to take the victory, followed by Yoann Cornelis and Greg Closier, while Olivia Piana was victorious in the women’s race.

Michel Terrien was perched up on the cliffs and snapped some awesome pics of the action. We’ve included the highlights below, though you should check out the full gallery on Facebook as well. Photos © Michel Terrien.
